CCTV has been released of a man police want to speak to about a robbery in Lichfield.
The incident happened at 9.15pm on February 19 at the Co-op store on Boley Park.
A man asked for some cigarettes, but as the till was opened he leaned over and tried to take money. He then wrestled with the cashier before fleeing with £160 when the staff member shouted for help.
Police say the offender ran out of the store in the direction of Abbotsford Road.
A spokesperson said: “The offender is described as a white man in his late 30’s, of average build, about 5ft 6″ tall with gingery brown stubble and moustache. He was wearing a white and blue cap and a blue jacket.”
Anyone with any information, or who recognises the man captured on CCTV, is asked to contact Staffordshire police on 101, quoting incident number 764 of 19 February.
