The 2016 Burntwood Wakes will be returning to a more traditional format, according to Burntwood Town Council.
Councillors have agreed the event will take place at Burntwood Leisure Centre on July 23.
Although the focus will return to the former ‘Baths’ site, the popular push kart derby will take place once again at Sankey’s Corner on July 16.
Councillor Pam Stokes, Chairman of the town council said: “After last year’s new format Wakes Festival we asked many local people what they wanted to see at future Wakes events. Lots of people told us they wanted to see the Wakes come back to its traditional home.
“So we have been working with Lichfield District Council and the management at Burntwood Leisure Centre to see how we can do that.
“We are very pleased that we will be able to hold our Wakes Festival in the grounds of Burntwood Leisure Centre this summer.”
The free event will feature a fun fair, entertainment and stall.
Cllr Stokes added: “There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether it is entering a team for the Push Kart Derby or volunteering to help on the day.”
