A leisure centre in Lichfield is hosting a cycling challenge to raise money for charity.

The Wattbike event will take plae between 10am and 6pm on March 20 at Friary Grange Leisure Centre.

The challenge will see people pedalling away for either half-an-hour or one hour to raise money for the Stroke Association and Sports Relief.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for leisure and parks, said: “We hope plenty of people will take part in the Charity Wattathon Challenge.

“It’s a good way to raise money for two charities while setting yourself a personal challenge.”

It costs £5 to enter the 30-minute challenge and £10 to take part in the hour-long challenge. Entry forms are available from Friary Grange Leisure Centre’s reception.
