The showcase will take place at Shire Hall Gallery in Stafford and look to highlight some of the county’s most creative talents.

The competition is open to artists of any age who were born in Staffordshire or who live, work or study in the county.

Cllr Ben Adams, Cabinet member for learning and skills at Staffordshire County Council said: “Our Staffordshire Open Art Exhibition, now in its 26th year, continues to be incredibly popular with both new and established artists.

“We really do have huge artistic talent here in Staffordshire and we are delighted to be able to play our part in showcasing this talent.

“The quality of work we receive never disappoints and always presents our judges with a difficult job.”

Artists can submit paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures or 3D mixed media produced within the last three years. Entries will be accepted at the gallery on April 22 and 23.

The selected works will be exhibited from May 14 to July 3.
