A puppet show at the Lichfield Garrick is set to entertain young theatre-goers later this month.
Handa’s Hen follows the story of two friends who go looking for grandma’s black hen Mondi.
A spokesperson said: “They find two fluttery butterflies round the hen house, three stripy mice under the grain store, and four little lizards behind the pots – but where is Mondi?
“This beautiful and engaging show features 55 stunning puppets all created by hand for this brand new production.”
The show – which forms part of a family day at the Garrick on April 16 – is suitable for children aged two to five. Other activities on the day include a comedy school for kids, poetry workshops and story-telling sessions.
Tickets for Handa’s Hen are £10 adults and £7 children. To book call 01543 412121 or visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com.
