Two more schools in Lichfield will see reduced speed limits introduced outside them.
The ’20 is Plenty’ initiative sees 20mph zones introduced around drop-off and collection times.
Five Spires Academy on Cherry Orchard in Lichfield, and Greybrooke Primary School in Shenstone are the latest to join the scheme.
Cllr Mark Deaville, Cabinet support member for highways and transport at Staffordshire County Council, said: “Our 20 is Plenty initiative aims to remind drivers not to put pupils lives at risk by driving above 20mph when near schools.
“The scheme is also encouraging more parents and children to walk and cycle to school which in turn will improve health and wellbeing, save parents money on petrol, and helps to reduce traffic around schools.”
