Tipton Harrier Stewart Hawkes romped home to win the 2016 Lichfield Half Marathon. He clocked a time of 1:12:35 – nearly five minutes quicker than his clubmate Phil Clamp. Gavin Kennedy took third. The women’s race saw Preston Harrier Nichola Jackson home first in 1:26:45, with Melissa Venable second in 1:30:24 and Emma Langdell third in 1:32:14. Kevin Wilson, from race organisers KP Events, said: “Over 1,100 runners entered and a remarkable turn out of supporters round the 13 mile course and hundreds at the Stowe Field finish ensured that the event was a memorable occasion for all involved.”
