Pest problems in Lichfield and Burntwood will be dealt with by a new company after an agreement was signed by Lichfield District Council.

They will offer the service for a reduced price following the council agreement.
Councillor Colin Greatorex, Cabinet member for housing and health, said: “We’re pleased to have entered into a five-year contract with Opkill.
“If you live in the district and experience a problem with pests in your home, we recommend that you contact Opkill for help.”
It costs £66 to deal with mice and rats – although residents on certain benefits get rats dealt with for free. It also costs £66 to tackle fleas, bedbugs and cockroaches, and £42 for wasps, ants and other insect pests.
People need to tell Opkill that they are Lichfield District Council residents when booking a service on 0800 980 4142.
