More than 1,500 cars will be on display at an event in Lichfield this weekend.
Cars in the Park 2016 will feature everything from classic vehicles to modern machines when it takes place in Beacon Park on July 2 and 3.
Organised by The Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad, the show began life in 1997 with just 28 cars on display but has now boomed into a must-see attraction for motoring fans from across the country.
David Ratcliffe, President of the Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad, said: “It’s a real draw for car enthusiasts, but makes a great family day out too.
“The JCB vehicles are always a big hit with the younger visitors, and everyone can enjoy the stalls, demonstrations, competitions and The Food Village.”
Entry to the show is free, but charity donations are welcomed to help the rotary club raise money for worthy causes, including Midlands Air Ambulance. Car parking is available for £5.
There’s always Tesco car park which is also free entry with a choice of more modern examples on show every day of the week.
That’s quite a negative and sarcastic comment. We should be supporting these events that bring people from far afield to our lovely city. I don’t understand why local people always have such a downer on Lichfield and the excellents events that are staged here.
