The former chairman of Lichfield District Council has handed over a cheque for £1,700 to the We Love Lichfield Fund.
The presentation was made to patron Simon Price.
Cllr Norma Bacon used her year in office to raise money for the fund, which supports local good causes.
“I was so proud to be able to raise money for the We Love Lichfield Fund and would like to thank everyone who gave so generously,” Cllr Bacon said. “I really believe in this charity as it is such a good way to support the local community right across the district.”
Fundraising events during her year in office included a festive flower arranging event and a civic Sunday lunch that featured a charity raffle.
Mr Price added: “We’re delighted to have received this donation and will add it to the pot of money that accrues interest which is then invested in community projects taking place across the district.
“On behalf of the fund, I’d like to thank Norma for her support and for championing our fantastic local charity.”
