The Barbican String Quartet

The penultimate day of the 2016 Lichfield Festival kicks off with a performance by the Barbican String Quartet.

Featuring an international line-up with players from Holland, Germany, Moldova and Bulgaria, they will play music from the lieks of Dutilleux, Deborah Pritchard and Ravel at Wade Street Church from noon.

A storytelling walk sets off from the city centre at 2.30pm, while a screening of Sunset Boulevard comes to the Garrick Studio at 8pm.

Jazz singer Claire Martin will perform swing from the golden age of Hollywood at Lichfield Cathedral from 7.30pm.

If folk is more your sound, then it’s Barokksolistene performing their Alehouse Sessions at the Garrick from 8pm.
