A Burntwood scouting group are happy campers after a donation of new equipment.

The Woodland Beaver Colony at the 1st Chase Terrace Scout Group visited retailer Amazon’s site in Rugeley to see how the centre worked.

At the end of their tour they were given a surprise when the company’s charity committee handed over handed over camping equipment, including compasses, firelighters and play equipment.

The group of five to eight-year-olds will now use their new items at their camp this summer.

Lee Welch, from the 1st Chase Terrace Woodland Beavers, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to the team at Amazon for all the time and effort put into making our visit as memorable as it was.

“I believe making memories is the best bit of being a Beaver Leader, and there is no doubt the Amazon team has done that by inviting us in to see around the site. We even had a few of our boys stating that it was the best Beaver night ever!

“We look forward to visiting again in a couple of years with our next batch of Beavers.”
