Hunt for car used by Burntwood bank robbers

Police are searcing for a car involved in a bank robbery in Burntwood.

The Barclays store on Cannock Road was targeted at 3.15pm yesterday (November 10) when a cash delivery driver entering the branch was approached by two people. They took a boc containing money before making off towards Cannock in a grey Audi A4 which was waiting outside.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Fortunately, the victim was not assaulted or injured but he was left shaken by the incident.

“The two suspects wore dark clothing and had their faces covered. It is believed there was a third suspect in the vehicle outside.”
