Police are appealing for information after a number of deer deterrent posts were damaged in Burntwood.

They were installed as part of a trial designed to prevent the animals from wandering into the road and being hit by traffic.
The posts give off an audible and visual alarm to startle nearby deer.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Over recent months they have been trialled in various locations around the area.
“However, about half of those that were installed have been vandalised. Between November 30 and December 2 approximately £1,800 of damage was caused and deer are once again in danger of being hit by traffic without the alarms.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PCSO Louise Jones at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 387 of December 6.
