Lichfield City FC kicked off 2017 with a point after a lively draw with Uttoxeter Town.

An indifferent first half saw few clear cut chances, but it will be City who were happier to go into the break without conceding.

But the second period saw a fired up Lichfield come out and gain a stranglehold on the game as Ben Lund netted.

A missed penalty by Lichfield saw them spurn a chance to sew up the points – and it was to prove costly when Uttoxeter won their own spot kick in the dying moments. Luke Lewis stepped up to ensure the spoils were shared.
