The David Garrick Golden Ale will be launched as part of the first birthday celebrations of the Lichfield Real Ale Trail.
Brewed by Blythe Brewery at Hamstall Ridware, the new beer will be available at real ale pubs across the city to mark Garrick’s 300th birthday.
It is described as “lively and full of flavour with a theatrical finish”.
Organised by the Lichfield District Tourism Association, the Lichfield Real Ale Trail promotes pubs serving up specialist tipples across the city.
A spokesperson said: “The aim of the trail is to highlight the excellent venues serving quality real ales in Lichfield city centre and attract extra visitors.”
The new ale will be officially launched on February 10.
