Chance for people to find out more about a career in adult social care at Lichfield Guildhall event

People interested in a career in adult social care are being invited to a recruitment event in Lichfield.

Staffordshire County Council’s CareMatch team are organising the session at the Guildhall between 1pm and 4pm on Thursday (February 9).

Visitors will get the chance to browse various stalls, talk to social workers, training providers and other health and social care organisations.

Local employers will also be at the event with the opportunity to apply for current vacancies.

Cllr Alan White, Cabinet member for health, care and wellbeing at Staffordshire County Council said: “People working in the adult care sector play a vital role in helping to keep vulnerable adults safe and helping them lead as independent lives as possible.

“It’s a dynamic sector to work in these days with a wide range of job and training opportunities available, along with good career prospects and professional development. So if you’re looking for a career with meaning, job satisfaction and an abundance of options, our events will give people everything they need to know about a career in adult care.”
