Lichfield MP “hiding in office” after reports of gunshots in Westminster

Lichfield’s MP has revealed he has been forced to hide in an office following an armed incident in Westminster.

Reports of gunshots and videos of emergency services in the area have emerged on social media.

Michael Fabricant posted on Twitter about the situation inside the House of Commons:

Reports say an armed individual had been shot by police.

Mr Fabricant added: “Glad police shot the terrorist.

“My prayers are with the brave police officer who was attacked.”

Photograph of the attacker being wheeled to the ambulance shows his beard off nicely. Looking forward to the excuses, with “mental issues” likely figuring prominently.
