Potential candidates for the Staffordshire County Council elections in Lichfield and Burntwood are being reminded to sign up for a factfinding session. Hopefuls will be given a chance to learn about the full remit of the council and the support on offer for elected members at the event on March 28 at the County Buildings in Stafford. Sessions will take place at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. A spokesperson for the county council said: “Officers will be on hand to give guidance on how the use of technology will be fundamental to the role, how scrutiny works and the Staffordshire Local Community Fund. “In addition there will be information on training and support, the civic role and different county council areas.” To book a place on the sessions email
