The man demanded money from staff at the Jet garage on Lichfield Street at around 8.30pm on Saturday (March 25), but ran off when they refused to hand over any cash.

He was wearing dark clothing, gloves and plastic shoe covers. He also used a plastic bag as a mask.

Detective Constable Paul Whitehouse said he was keen to speak another man who may be a witness.

“This man walked past the offender at the garage, then crossed the road heading towards the County Drive area of Tamworth.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Paul Whitehouse on 101 quoting incident number 843 of 25 March or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
