Lichfield’s tourist information service is making a temporary move.
The Lichfield District Council-run centre will move to Lichfield Library at The Friary while St Mary’s in the Market Square is renovated.

The current city centre home of the tourist information service is being reconfigured to become the new home for the library.
The tourist information desk will be located next to the library desk, where visitors will also be able to access brochures and guides to local attractions.f
Richard King, director of place and community for Lichfield District Council, said: “We’re looking forward to moving into our temporary home in Lichfield Library to allow St Mary’s to be transformed into a vibrant hub in the city centre.
“While the works are going on, people will need to come a little bit further to find us in Lichfield Library, where we’ll be offering visitors advice about all the great things there are to do in Lichfield City and District.”
The Tourist Information desk at St Mary’s on the Market Square will be closed to visitors from Saturday (April 1) and will reopen at Lichfield Library on April 5.
