Defender Chris Slater, who has already clocked up 573 games in 14 seasons, began his career at the Molineux.

The game will see a blend of under-23 and under-18 players from the Championship club taking to the field at The Scholars Ground on April 13.

Former Chasetown manager Charlie Blakemore has helped arrange the fixture and told the club’s website: “I really appreciate Wolves doing this for Chris.

“It should make for a nice night for him and his family.”
