Radis Community Care, based in Tamworth, has won the contract for Beacon Park Village on Lower Sandford Street.

Current provider the ExtraCare Charitable Trust revealed last August that it would end its contract which it had held since the village opened in 2005.

Bromford, owner of the 135-bed property, will take over the overall running of the facility and plans to extend opening hours at the on-site restaurant, coffee bar and gym.

Helen Shields, Bromford’s retirement living business manager, said: “Radis is an established community-based care and support provider which offer very bespoke services tailored to the individual which fits with our own ethos of developing a trusting relationship with each and every Bromford customer.

“We’re pleased the transition to this new care provider has been completed so seamlessly and very much look forward to working with Radis moving forward.

“In terms of Beacon Park Village itself, we’re excited to be taking on a leading role in the day-to-day management of services and hope to open the various facilities up to more local people in Lichfield.”
