Chance for Lichfield and Burntwood community groups to apply for grants

Community and voluntary groups in Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to apply for grants of up to £1,000.

Lichfield District Council is working with We Love Lichfield to help distribute £23,000 worth of funding.

The money can be for projects, events, training and equipment for groups or activities that support the council’s strategic priorities:

  • A vibrant and prosperous economy.
  • Healthy and safe communities.
  • Clean, green and welcoming places to live.

Richard King, director of place and community at Lichfield District Council, said: “We’re really pleased to be offering this new stream of funding and hope plenty of groups will grab the chance to apply for a funding boost.”

The deadline to apply is May 2. For more details visit www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/cgs.

Is the same stock library photograph used to accompany reports of when this money is doled out, or do the same people get it every time?
