A Burntwood nurse has been ‘adopted’ by Macmillan Cancer Support.

Diana Walton, an oncology specialist at Spire Little Aston Hospital, has been recognised for the high standards of care and support she provides.
It means that she can now be identified as a Macmillan professional.
“I’m thrilled to have been adopted by Macmillan,” she said. “It means I’ll be supported with specialist training and have access to grants to help increase my expertise and enhance the care I’m able to deliver to patients.
“Being a Macmillan nurse makes us instantly recognisable as experienced nurses in the field – it’s a respected title, as health and social care workers, patients and relatives all know what a Macmillan nurse is.”
