Chasetown FC have confirmed their pre-season programme.

New boss Scott Dundas will kick off his time in charge of The Scholars with a trip to near neighbours Heath Hayes on July 15.

A journey to Alsager Town follows on July 22, before a Port Vale XI visit Chasetown three days later.

Home friendlies against Sutton Coldfield Town on July 29 and August 1 round off the schedule.

Dundas said further fixtures could be added: “I am looking at another two possible games – a long away day fixture on August 5 and another midweek fixture.”

Meanwhile, the new manager has also unveiled his backroom team. Ex-Nantwich Town and Kidsgrove Athletic boss Anthony Buckle will be his assistant.

Steve Harper – who has made more than 500 professional appearances for the likes of Burnley, Huddersfield and Port Vale – will be first team coach, while Dave Hamnett takes up the post of chief scout. John Birt will continue as goalkeeper coach.
