Songs and stories of fairness feature at event in Lichfield city centre

Songs and stories will be on offer at an event in Lichfield.

Oxfam and Fairtrade Lichfield have teamed up to explore the theme of fairness on July 19.

The event, which takes place at the Oxfam Bookshop on Market Street from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, will feature a performance from singer Tasmin Ashton and storyteller Chris Genders.

A spokesperson said: “Get ready for stories from around the world exploring the many meanings of fairness, and a chance to meet up with other local people interested in social justice.

“We’ll give you a chance to discuss some of the important changes taking place in Fairtrade, and find out about Oxfam’s current campaigns – and, of course, it’s a chance to get a free glass of Fairtrade wine, sample some Fairtrade products and support Oxfam’s East Africa Crisis Appeal.”

Tickets are £5 and can be purchased from the Oxfam Bookshop.
