Five charged after protest at Shenstone factory

Five people have been charged by police after a demonstration outside a Shenstone factory.

Activists have regularly targeted the UAV Engines site after claiming they make components for drones used by Israel against Palestine.

A protest on Friday (July 7) saw five people charged with using violence to compel activity or abstention from lawful activity:

  • Sam Nuttall, aged 24, of Mitchell Street, Bury, Lancashire.
  • Huda Ammori, aged 23, of Hadfield Close, Manchester.
  • Christopher Groves, aged 64, of Belmont Road, Stourbridge, West Midlands.
  • Martin Newell, aged 50, of Ivor Road, Birmingham.
  • Adie Mormech, aged 39, of Stamford Street, Manchester.

They will all appear before magistrates in Cannock on August 18.
