Time running out to book tickets for drive-in screening of Grease at Beacon Park

There’s one last chance for Lichfield movie fans to get ‘stranded at the drive-in’.

Cult musical Grease will be screened this weekend as Beacon Park hosts its first ever drive-in movie event.

Tickets are only available beforehand so time is running out for T-Birds and Pink Ladies to book a space for the August 12 showing.

Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet member for leisure at Lichfield District Council, said: “We’re really excited about our first Drive-in Movie at Beacon Park.

“It should be a really fun way to spend an evening and we’re hoping lots of people will get into the spirit and dress up as Pink Ladies and T-Birds.

“There’s only a few days to go until the drive-in, so we’re reminding everyone to book their tickets for the main event.”

Gates will open at 7pm and the film will start at 9pm. Drivers will be able to tune in their radios to the movie soundtrack frequency to hear the film and all the classic songs.

Entry is £20 per car with a maximum of four people. Each additional person costs £5.

To book visit the Beacon Park Ranger Station, call 01543 308867, or visit
