There’s the chance for theatre-goers to have the time of their lives at the Lichfield Garrick next month.
An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show is at the city theatre on September 13.
Musical theatre stalwart Julian Essex-Spurrier continues to lead the production having played iconic leading roles including Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever, Rocky in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Riff in West Side Story and Rusty in Starlight Express.
He is joined by West End regular Lucy Jane Adcock whose credits include Adelaide in the international tour of Chichester Festival Theatre’s Guys & Dolls, Cassie in A Chorus Line at the London Palladium, tours of Happy Days, Starlight Express, Beauty & The Beast and in the West End, Chicago, Mamma Mia!, Fame, Tonight’s The Night, Matilda and Top Hat.
The show is directed by Paul Spicer. He said: “We’re thrilled to be returning to Lichfield on what will be our seventh UK tour.
“The atmosphere is always electric. We totally encourage our audiences to sing and dance and immerse themselves in this incredible music. I watch people leave the theatre on a real high.
“This is a multi-award winning soundtrack steeped in nostalgia. I challenge anyone to come along and not have a fantastic time.”
