Lichfield favourites The Born Again Beatles are returning to the city.
The tribute band will be at the Guildhall on September 10, featuring a new line-up, songs and arrangements.
With Danny O’Keefe taking over from Chris Newcombe in the role of George Harrison, Kris Hill on drums, and remaining founder members Steve Thompson and Stuart Howes, the band recreate the early live sound of The Beatles from around 1962-63.
Their equipment includes period Vox amplifiers, a Hofner 500/1 bass, a Gretsch G6119 guitar and a Rickenbacker 350V63 guitar and of course an oyster pearl Ludwig drum kit.
Lichfield Arts Spokesman Stuart Davies said: “The Born Again Beatles are a very popular group, playing the music of one of the most popular and influential groups of all time.
“Anyone who saw them at Fuse, for what was Chris Newcombe’s last appearance with the band, knows just how special this group is.
“Their new line-up promises to be just as special, so why don’t you treat yourself to a night out listening and dancing to some of the best-known songs of the last sixty years?”
