A Lichfield student is celebrating after landing nine A and A* grades in her GCSEs.
Elizabeth Crowe was among the Nether Stowe School students receiving their results today (August 24).
She bagged a grade 9 – the highest available score – in mathematics.
Headteacher Ruth Poppleton said: “We are very proud of the success of all our students, but Elizabeth is a real star.
“She has taken advantage of all Nether Stowe has to offer and is a real credit to the school. She has taken part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme – and is continuing to Gold – pursued a GCSE in Further Maths gaining an A grade, played in concerts and taken part in the school plays.”
Elizabeth thanked her teachers for their support and said she was looking forward to continuing her studies.
“In September I am going to start my A levels in maths, biology, chemistry and French due to my love of these subjects at GCSE level,” she said. “I aspire to become a dentist in the future, whether that be in the UK or France.”
