People in Lichfield and Burntwood are being asked to resend emails to the area’s MP after a number of communications with constituents were lost.

Michael Fabricant said the issue had affected those residents who had used his online contact form between September 9 and 18.

Increased digital security measured had meant some messages had been lost in the system.

The Conservative MP said: “Following the cyber-attacks on Parliament a few months back, the House of Commons has introduced additional filters on incoming emails and an unwanted side effect has been that a number of messages have been lost and cannot be recovered.

“We are really sorry about this. This has now been fixed by the Parliamentary Digital Service and we believe this failure only applies to messages sent via the webform.

“We would ask that urgent messages be sent again.”

Better still Mr Lubricant, how about just having a contact phone number or having surgeries for constituents? Public servant who takes the money but isn’t accessible isn’t a public servant, just a parasite.

If anyone gets a reply from our MP that shows he has done something, anything, to lobby for the replacement of the “temporary” Burntwood Walk In Health Centre please share with Lichfield Live.

Awaiting my third and probably final Freedom of Information request for any evidence that Mr Fabricant has done anything for Burntwood and Hammerwich health service patients.

I’m surprised he hasn’t told us to forget this tatty website and just send him a tweet instead. Thou, I’m not sure how the greys would cope….

It would be good if he had a direct email too, not the contact form. Seems like that’s what’s caused the problem here.

I’ll let those electors that I represent know who have contacted him and who are STILL waiting for replies such as on disability cuts or academies trying to change employees T&Cs or the 70% reduction in bus subsidies or…..

He can be contacted more directly on [email protected]

I don’t think he wants that. Does anyone know when and where he holds his secret surgeries?

He can occasionally be found chatting loudly in the snug of the Kings Head on a Wednesday evening. Not sure that counts as a surgery though.

He also makes himself available for public viewing (though no talking to him please) on occasional sunny Friday/Saturday afternoons outside Caffe Nero.

He has his Constituency office at No.8 Bore Street, you think you are walking into an accountancy business but you carry on through the corridor where there is a door leading to a flight of stairs at the back of the building where you will find a very small card proclaiming that our MP Hides out on the top floor, very low profile, unlike his high profile alter ego.

Or Waitrose occasionally, lapping up the sycophancy of the octogenarians.

But never Aldi’s, where he would be flayed alive by irate pensioners the disabled, the yoof, et al.

It doesn’t matter if they were lost. All they would get back is something along the lines of: “I have passed this matter on to the relevant department to seek their views”. Then nothing…ever again…just emptiness…tumbleweed…a black hole…zilch.
A bit like his level of interest for his constituency…nothing.
