The Brownsfield Park side have been forced to play their home fixtures so far this season at Bolehall Swifts while the pitch is replaced.

Dave Langston’s men will play on it for the first time when they face Rocester in the league cup on October 17.

But three days later the new all-weather pitch will have its official unveiling as sporting stars take to the field.

Among those due to pull on their boots are former Aston Villa favourites Lee Hendrie, Shaun Teale and Tony Daley, as well as ex-Blues stars Paul Devlin, Dele Adebola and Geoff Horsfield. They will be joined by one-time WBA players Richard Sneekes and Ian Hamilton.

Also in the line-up is boxer Frankie Gavin who will be swapping boxing gloves for football boots.

The all-star game and official launch of the pitch will take place at 7.30pm on October 20.
