Lichfield City FC let lead slip once more as they settle for another 3-3 draw

History has definitely repeated itself as Lichfield City FC played out their third 3-3 draw in a week.

Racing Club Warwick were the hosts this time as City again let a lead slip as two Ben Lund goals and one for Josh Haston were only enough for a point.

Things looked rosy for Lichfield as they found themselves 2-0 up in 20 minutes and facing ten men as the home side saw a man sent off with just 19 minutes on the clock.

But Warwick pulled one back to reduced the deficit on 26 minutes, only to see City restore their two-goal advantage on the stroke of half-time.

The action wasn’t done there though as the hosts made it 3-2 deep into first half stoppage time.

Nagging doubts over their ability to wrap up the points came back to the fore as the game ticked on though and with eight minutes left, the past came back to haunt Lichfield as Racing Club Warwick equalised to earn a share of the spoils.
