The controlling Conservative group have selected Cllr Doug Pullen to take on the role following the decision by Cllr Norma Bacon to step down.

Cllr Pullen represents the Hammerwich ward anis also a Cabinet member at Lichfield District Council.

He said he was looking forward to playing his part in helping the town to thrive.

“Burntwood is an excellent place to live, work and raise a family,” he said. “Our role as a council is to enhance the town and that is what I will be focusing my efforts on as leader.”

A volunteer wrote this. Say thanks with a coffee.

1st job – get the telephone number listed for Councillor Rigby corrected to her Yorkshire number so her electors can contact her.
2nd job – to get the staffing costs at BTC back down to the realistic level before Councillor Rigby’s review increased them dramatically.

Seeing as the Right Honourable gentleman keeps his eye on this site, as well as becoming de facto MP of the township of Burntwood, perhaps he would like to give us a brief rundown of his forthcoming agenda? Will Burntwood secede from Lichfield? Will Norman Bacon be return before her warranty ends? or perhaps Burntwood will stay settle as the place that Lichfield forgot?
