They were held as part of The Big Draw, the world’s biggest drawing festival.

Artists Francis and Gloria Law helped participants to create pieces for an animated film, while Amanda Holliday helped people to make marks using unusual objects such as brooms, rollers and a meat tenderiser.

At the Three Spires Shopping Centre, artist Bob Moulder helped shoppers to create a building on A4 paper with pre-printed guidelines to form part of a large street scene.

Councillor Ian Pritchard, Cabinet member for economic growth, environment and development services at Lichfield District Council, said: “It’s fantastic that so many people had the chance to get involved in our local Big Draw activities.

“It’s a good way to rediscover your creativity and to try something new.”
