To mark ten years since the Armed Forces Memorial was dedicated, the family of Lance Corporal Jabron Hashmi, who died in 2006 while serving in Afghanistan, will give a reading at the service.

Kirsty McLachlan, the daughter of Corporal Robin McLachlan who died in a motorbike accident while stationed in Germany in 2003, will sing her song Road to Home at the service. Corporal McLachlan’s wife Jillian was pregnant at the time of his death, meaning he never knew his daughte.

The outdoor Service of Remembrance at the base of the Armed Forces Memorial on Sunday (November 12) is open to everyone.
