Lichfield City FC produced a dominant display as they bounced back to winning ways against Studley.

Jamie Hawkins’ men had suffered two defeats on the bounce, so were grateful for the slice of luck they enjoyed for their opening goal.

Jordan Hunt’s delivery into the box took a ricochet off Luke Wright before looping into the far corner to send City into the break a goal to the good.

There’s was no luck involved in Lichfield second goal after the break as Max Black doubled the advantage.

But despite City having the better of the play, it was Studley who were next on the scoresheet after a prodded effort past keeper Adam Jenkins.

Any nerves for Lichfield were settled when they were awarded a penalty. Tom Green stepped up and made no mistake from 12 yards.

The points were made safe when Dan Thurstance’s delivery caused the Studley keeper problems and Black was on hand to net.

The scoring wasn’t over though as Green slotted home his second of the game to wrap up a 5-1 win.
