Lichfield City FC came from behind to secure victory over struggling Brocton.

The hosts took a surprise lead with five minutes on the clock when Joe Hartshorne netted.

But Lichfield levelled when Max Black tucked home a neat pull back by Josh Mansell.

Jamie Hawkins men then turned the game around completely as Drew Aiton’s free kick found a way past the keeper at the near post.

Brocton almost sprung another early surprise at the start of the second half, but a smart cross somehow evaded everyone in the area.

It would proved to be a costly opportunity spurned as Lichfield extended their leader when Jordan Evans rifled home in off the bar.

Aiton almost netted his second only to see the ball cannon back off the woodwork, but the fourth goal did come for City when Connor Dillon produced a clever backheel.
