Police are looking for witnesses to a crash on the A38 in Lichfield that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway at the Fradley Park junction at 11.10pm on Saturday (March 17).
Officers say a VW Polo had left the road, with emergency services having to cut a 28-year-old Burton man free from the vehicle.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment, and his condition is currently described as critical.
“The road was closed for several hours whilst detailed investigation work was carried out by officers from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience and are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.”
Anyone with information or drivers with dashcams who were using the A38 at the time, are asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 876 of 17 March.
