Families in Lichfield are being urged to explore Beacon Park this Easter.

A programme of activities will take place during the school break, including an Easter trail, costing £2, and a Strike and Seek challenge from 11am to 2pm on Good Friday to find egg-shaped markers hidden across the park.

Two pond dipping days are also planned on April 10 and 11, costing £2.50 each.

Councillor Iain Eadie, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for leisure, said: “Beacon Park is a vibrant and much loved green space in the heart of the city. It’s always great to visit with the family as there is so much to do, from the play area and playing tennis, to foot and disc golf and enjoying a stomp through the woodland.

“This Easter we’re also offering an Easter trail, an Easter egg hunt and pond dipping. We hope plenty of people will get involved and enjoy the programme of cracking activities.”

The one-hour pond-dipping sessions, which take place at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm, can be booked by calling 01543 308867.
