Lichfield City FC come from behind to earn a point at Uttoxeter Town

Lichfield City FC picked up a point as they came from behind at Uttoxeter Town.

Most of the action came in the first half of the Midland Football League Division One encounter, with visiting keeper Adam Jenkins forced to make a smart save early on to deny the hosts an opener.

But Jenkins was helpless to prevent Uttoxeter getting in front after his initial save saw the loose ball tucked home by Oliver Ritchie.

Lichfield levelled when a free kick was glanced home by the head of Luke Wright.

Josh Mansell went close to putting City in front but a lobbed effort went narrowly wide.

Uttoxeter had the best chance of a quiet second period, but saw the ball blazed high over the bar.

Wright had a couple of half-chances for City but failed to make the breakthrough as both sides played out the draw.
