Seven sites have been offered up by Burntwood Town Council, with the cost to company’s ranging from £800 to £1,200 – however, the figure could be higher as a bidding process will decide who gets which island.

Those on offer include:

  • Bridge Cross Road/Sycamore Road
  • Morrisons/High Street
  • Milestone Way/Cannel Road
  • Chasewater Heath Roundabout
  • Miners Way junction with Chasewater Heath and Cannock Road
  • Cannock Road/Attwood Road
  • Ironstone Road junction with Stables Way

If all seven are snapped up at the guide price, the initiative will net the authority £7,500 a year.

A tender document for those interested outlines the potential benefits: “Over 18,000 vehicles are estimated to drive past these roundabouts each day, meaning your signs will be seen over 6.5million times each year.

“Of course, may of these vehicles will be the same people driving past each day, meaning your brand is reinforced 24/7, 365 days a year.”

Interested companies have until May 23 to submit their bids.
