A junior football club in Lichfield is on the lookout for new players. Whittington FC are looking to bolster the ranks of their under 11 side for next season. Eligible players will currently be in year five of primary school. Coach Gary Cox said: “Whittington FC is an FA Charter Standard Community Club, which is the Football Association’s official quality mark at the most advanced level possible – this means our kids enjoy football training and matches in a well-run and safe environment under the supervision of FA qualified coaches at all age groups. “We’ve also just finalised an official partnership with Burton Albion to share coaching resources, expertise and facilities, so exciting times and opportunities lie ahead. “We currently we have four under 10 teams playing in the Burton League, playing in division one through to league eight, so all levels and abilities are catered for. “It’s been a highly successful season and every single player is coming back for next season, but we are currently looking to expand our squads for next season. “Whether kids are looking to get started in football, want to play with their mates, or are already playing and simply fancy a change of club, they’ll be sure of a warm welcome.” For more details email Gary.
