Production of Three Men in a Boat coming to Stonnall Village Hall

A production of Three Men in a Boat is coming to Stonnall Village Hall.

The Mint Theatre Society are bring the comic tale from Walsall-born author Jerome K Jerome to the stage on July 14.

A spokesperson said: “Three London chums decide that a boating trip up the Thames is just the ticket to help cure them of their imaginary ailments, including ‘a general disinclination to work of any kind’.

“Accompanied by their feisty fox terrier Montmorency, our hapless heroes set off for the river where they embark upon a series of madcap adventures involving a banjo, an Irish stew, an enormous trout, an uncooperative tin of pineapple, a gang of murderous swans and lots of eccentric and colourful characters.

“This hilarious tale of a disastrous boating trip is a perfect summer evening’s entertainment guaranteed to have you crying with laughter.

The show will be performed at Stonnall Village Hall, 114 Main Street, Stonnall, Lichfield WS9 9DY on Saturday 14th July at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm). There are also further performances in Sutton Coldfield and Aldridge. For more information or to book tickets (£8.00), contact us on 07715 578923 or
