TV appearance was a great opportunity to promote the area, says Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant

Lichfield’s MP says an appearance on TV this week gave him “a great opportunity” to promote the area.

Michael Fabricant appeared on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff alongside author Jordan Peterson and Sophie Walker, leader of the Women’s Equality Party, on May 16.

The Conservative MP said: “This was a great opportunity to promote the Lichfield constituency on the national stage.

“I talked about what a great tourist destination Lichfield district is, as well as whether political correctness restricts dialogue, whether women are identical to men or whether there really are real differences, and discussing the important stories in the news.

“As well as caring for constituents when they contact me, scrutinising the Government, and creating national legislation, I regard the promotion of our area on the national stage an important element of my work.”

The episode can be seen online.

I voted for you expecting some benefits for Burntwood it’s about time you fought for the facilities needed in Burntwood.
You need to listen to your constituents about the lack of facilities in Burntwood and do something instead of going on television on shows to promote yourself. You are earning enough so do something for Burntwood .
Remember Burnot wood voTed to leave the EU I hope you carryout the electorates wishes.

I don’t think you can accuse Fabbo of neglecting the Brexit vote, he’s voted to leave, cut school meals, do down the elderly, disabled, sick….the list is endless and includes a fevered support for Brexit.
BTW not all of the oldies & retired in Burntwood voted to leave.

It happens to me all the time. I see a politician on the TV and think, I must visit there.

    Keep up the hard work.

He does well to promote independent Lichfield outlets too, such as the Caffe Nero he can be found outside, sipping on cappuccino and talking loudly about himself and people who have crossed him. Always the centre of attention, never actually achieving anything other than hot air.
