Organisers of the Ride Lichfield Festival of Cycling have hailed the event as “a huge success”.
The event took place between June 29 and July 1 and saw cyclists on a variety of different bikes take part in a series of rides.
A spokesperson said: “Highlights from the weekend were the Lichfield Jolly bike ride that saw over 60 riders ride together through the city centre streets and end up at Curborough Community Centre for a celebration event on the Saturday afternoon.
“On the Sunday morning over 100 riders took on the challenge of either a 60km or 100km sportive through the lanes of Staffordshire and Derbyshire before finishing in the shadow of Lichfield Cathedral.”
Organisers say they now plan to bring the event back in 2019. For more details visit lichfieldrecycle.org.uk.
