A new bus service linking Lichfield, Chasetown and Burntwood on Sundays has been launched.

National Express West Midlands has extended the 10A route which also serves Brownhills and Walsall to seven days a week.

It comes after the axe fell on a number of Sunday services after subsidy funding was withdrawn earlier this year.

Tom Stables, managing director of National Express West Midlands, said: “We’re pleased to have been able to extend the 10A service into Lichfield as we know local people want reliable, frequent bus travel to and from Walsall.

“Our 10A extension has proven to be popular since it started on Sunday. We hope that customers will continue to take advantage of the new service and that it will continue to go from strength to strength.”
