Hair care manufacturer moves to Burntwood after rescue deal

A manufacturer of hair care products has new owners after being sold out of administration.

Envy Haircare Limited has been purchased by the largest of the business’ existing investors and will now operate as Envy Logistics Limited.

The firm was originally launched in Jesmond, Newcastle, in 2010 and sells a range of haircare products to more than 2,000 global customers such as wholesalers, retailers and hairdressing salons.

Envy Logistics Limited – which currently has five staff – now has its headquarters on Chase Road in Burntwood, as well as operating part of a warehouse in Redditch.

Craig Povey, from restructuring and insolvency firm CVR Global, acted as the administrator for Envy Haircare Limited. He said: “Envy Haircare Limited had a range of uniquely-formed haircare products at its disposal that have been endorsed by an array of clients, but unfortunately the business wasn’t growing at a fast enough pace to make it sustainable in the long-term.

“The new owners have a clear vision of how they are going to transform the business not just into one that is sustainable, but can continue to develop in the future in the UK and beyond.

“With the right marketing strategy in place that shouts about its products to the right people, I expect Envy Logistics Limited to grow at a faster rate in the near future.”
